QuickView Maybelline One By One Volume Express Mascara

I know they spell it Volum. I can't bring myself to do that because it highly irritates me so we'll just move on and call it good. I am liking this mascara. My initial thoughts were that I hated it- it has a super flimsy brush and it smells (very strongly!) of roses. Obviously you don't smell it on your lashes, but keep that wand away from your nostrils people.

Why even add a scent? Just leave it the regular makeup-y scent that we're all used to. The only time I want to smell roses is when I'm looking at them. While the smell will never grow on me, the brush definitely has. It's not going to give you oodles of volume but it is going to get every lash and it's going to make them LONG. I used this alone and with my old stand-by LashBlast. The combo is really nice. I don't think I've met a mascara that hasn't paired well with Lashblast and it works on its own too- hence the reason it's my HG.

Anyway, this is supposed to be quick and I'm babbling- I would pick this up if you're looking for length. I'm going to give it some time to dry and see if it does any better for volume. Overall I'm way more impressed with this than I was with The Falsies. But, people like different looks on their lashes so this may be the opposite for you. I'd say it's worth a shot though.

Oh, and yes, that pic was taken on a McDonald's napkin. Only the best for my readers.

  1. I hated the Falsies mascara. I just found one by Loreal that I love and maybe this will be my next pick?

  3. Hey, we can't all have fancy lightboxes or whatever if we're doing things on the cheap! McDonald's napkins get the job done.

I think I'm going to go get this... Thanks for the recommendation! I was looking for a new mascara that didn't suck. =)

  4. I prefer my lashes to be volumized so I'd prob wouldn't want this one.
